Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have multiple endings, but the exact number is currently unknown. The only thing that will impact the campaign are the choices you make. The character's psychological profile will offer minor gameplay bonuses, but cosmetics will have no effect on the campaign's progression. Raven Software’s Senior Creative Director Dan Vondrake also confirmed that Black Ops Cold War will allow players to choose a gender-neutral character, whose pronoun will be stated as "they." The choice of the character's gender will also determine their voice, which can be heard during cutscenes, voice-overs, and throughout the campaign itself. While creating their character, players will be able to choose their character's name, gender, psychological profile, and background. The character created by players will be joining Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson on their missions. Custom character creation in Black Ops Cold War is a testament of Treyarch and Raven Software's joint effort in providing a more personalized CoD experience. Black Ops Cold War will be the first game in the franchise to allow players to create a custom character for the main campaign. ![]() Previous Call of Duty games did have character creation, but it was only reserved for multiplayer modes. While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature a bunch of new features like choice-based endings, free post-launch DLC, and more, another surprising feature is the ability to create your character for the single-player campaign.
